Aaron Collins’ strike in the 5-0 win against Oxford has been shortlisted for the League One Goal of the Month award for March.

Collins was involved in the build-up with a clever backheel and then got himself in the right place to slot home Nat Ogbeta’s low cross as Bolton secured an emphatic victory in front of the TV cameras at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The Welshman has been getting stronger and stronger in recent weeks following his move from Bristol Rovers in the January window.

Collins has scored five goals in his last four appearances for the Whites, including a brilliant hat trick against Reading earlier this month, as he continues to get more comfortable in Ian Evatt’s system.

The 26-year-old now faces competition from Jack Moylan of Lincoln, Nigel Lonwijk of Wycombe and Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan of Reading.

Moylan drove forward from midfield and went past defenders before calmly slotting home in a 5-1 victory at Barnsley.

Lonwijk produced an acrobatic finish you wouldn’t expect from a centre-back, firing home in the box against Reading.

Finally, Ehibhatiomhan fizzed an effort into the top corner from the edge of the box as Reading brushed aside Cambridge.

Supporters can vote for Collins’ goal HERE but must do so before the deadline at 5pm on Monday, April 15.

The fan vote will be combined with choices from a panel to determine the winners. The panel features Sky Sports’ EFL pundits Don Goodman and David Prutton, and the winner will be announced on Friday, April 26.

Elsewhere, Mikey Johnston and Okay Yokuslu of West Brom, Gabriel Sara of Norwich and Jimmy Dunne of QPR are all up for the Championship award.

Meanwhile, Alex Gilbey of MK Dons, Callum Hendry of Salford, Paul Mullin of Wrexham and Callum Camps of Stockport have been shortlisted for the League Two prize.
